Tom Varga
Twenty years an adjuster; now he sits on your side of the table and checks the settlement math.
Background.
Tom Varga spent two decades as a staff adjuster and claims supervisor for two of the carriers on our panel. He has written total-loss valuations, negotiated bodily-injury settlements, and trained the adjusters you’ll meet at claim time — which is precisely why we hired him to sit on the other side.
When a Lanewise client files a claim, Tom’s desk gets a copy. He checks total-loss comps against the actual local market, reads the estimate line by line for left-off OEM parts, and tells you when a number is fair — or when to push, and exactly what to say. Carriers pay claims; Tom makes sure the arithmetic behind them survives scrutiny.
He keeps a running tally on his whiteboard: additional dollars recovered for clients since 2019. It crossed $2.1 million in March.

Hit by an uninsured driver — the UM limits we’d insisted on paid for surgery and lost wages
The client had almost waived UM to save $9 a month. The at-fault driver carried nothing at all.
